Tomorrow afternoon I have- per recommendation of my sports medicine doctor- my first acupuncture appointment. I was surprised to find out my insurance actually covers 24 acupuncture visits a year if they are recommended by a doc. Interesting! So many benefits of our insurance that we haven’t been putting to use! If I go once a week, that’s about 6-months worth of appointments. Kinda cool :)

I don’t know if I “buy into” acupuncture at all, but I’m willing to check it out and give it a try. I’ve always been curious what it’s like. The woman I booked an appointment with, Holly, sounds great in her reviews. She was extremely nice on the phone and took a really detailed history from me and asked many questions about what I was hoping to get from my appointment. And, as you can see from her picture in that link, she’s a dog lover… so right off the bad I know she’s a good egg!
