naps!

naps!

doesn’t it feel like we are always lying around with the beasts and taking naps? haha. at least that seems to be all i blog about! in my defense, i think start-up computer programmers are required per their employee contracts to spend a large chunk of their weekend snoozing.

for the record, i had a very productive saturday. i organized my fall schedule & studying plan, took linus on a mini hike/mega walk to the top of corona heights and then the grocery store, did two loads of laundry, cleaned the entire apartment and organized/filed all my EMS paperwork which I had stacked up in a towering messy pile. I also applied to be a disaster volunteer EMT with the US Medical Reserve Corps and the state of California Disaster Healthcare Volunteers. The applications for both were extremely tedious! You have to fill out about 15 pages worth of all your certs. Also answer several screening questions such as “in a state of national emergency, do you have any obligations which could prohibit you from immediately volunteering?” Well… yes. I mean, wouldn’t any normal person have to answer “my family” first and foremost? But… that wasn’t an option, it was yes or no. So… I don’t know if I will get accepted to either organization as a volunteer, we’ll see if I pass the screen. I do already have lots of FEMA disaster training under my belt, so hopefully that will work in my favor.

earl and i just chowed some very yummy burritos* for dinner. one food item which san francisco gets right! (*note- not as good as this place which i discovered near earl’s office a few weeks ago)
