Interesting Ironman Rumor
I was catching up with my pro-triathlete friend Cedric (and peppering him with workout plan questions- the man is a beast) on the phone today, and he informed me that there are some rumors floating around about AN IRONMAN IN NYC for next summer!!!

HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE????
Dude. Dude. An Ironman in NYC?!? Could you imagine??? The word is the swim will happen in the Hudson and the bike will be out on 9w through Jersey. Wo-ow. The phrase “the most popular Ironman in the word” was mentioned. Of course it would be. I can imagine all my old tri-teamates from Asphalt Green just salivating at this news. Those guys would OWN that race if it happens.
Anyways, if this turns out to be true, I am so there. What about you, Jenny?

I’m fleshing out my fall/spring and summer race schedule right now. Hoping IMNYC happens… otherwise, I’m looking at a marathon this winter, a half IM around Mayish and some 50 mile runs for the summer. We’ll see what happens with this interesting news… (crosses fingers).

But that is TOTAL CRAZINESS!!! Can it be?!? Oh my god, if it is, I will totally do it instead of IMWI – but when will they announce it, and will all spots be gone in the FLASH OF AN EYE?!?

wow…that is going to beyond shut down the city. I can’t even begin to think about the logistics of pulling that one off but the thought is definitely pretty awesome. Where do you think the run would be? Hopefully not loops of central park!
