Someone has led a very charmed life lately, and it’s neither Earl nor myself!

Look who got to take a nap in the bed:

Naps IN the bed, oh boy

He served as Taste Tester in Chief when I woke up early this morning to make Bacon Cookies for a BBQ (full report on those later). Also, hung out with me almost every single day this past week. On Friday I helped some friends move, and was treated to Thai food in the Castro as a “thank you” for the manual labor. Linus came- fortunately the restaurant, which didn’t have outdoor seating, did have these big open windows where Buddy got to sit politely on the sidewalk while we ate. He wasn’t too proud to restrain himself from shooting us pleading looks:

Hey! Over here! I like pad thai! Ill take some gai yang. Need any help with that sticky rice?

We’ve been stealing away from work all week for apartment viewings, and most of the time Linus accompanies us- landlords like to be introduced and see how well he behaves. I wonder what he thinks is going on- if he wonders at all why we keep going into random buildings and meeting new people. It’s very out of routine for him. Plus, sometimes he has to attempt to navigate unwieldy stairs!

I really hope we settle in on a place soon. I am getting a bit worn down from all the viewings, and they’re all kind of starting to blend together. Hey, remember that place we saw yesterday? Was that the second, or the third place? Wait, was it the one with the office, or the living room… umm…. err…. Perhaps (*fingers crossed*) I will have some positive news on that front sometime soon.
