I hear you; we moved in May to save rent; went from 1800 square feet to 1200 square feet; a bit cramped but we are sening several hundred dollars a month; my only requirement was a place with 2 bathrooms (there’s 3 of us, we need 2 bathrooms) and a place that took pets. thankfully we found a house 4 blocks away which made moving really nice; same neighborhood to walk the dog, etc.

Good luck; I know you’ll find something, and just remind yourself it is not for the rest of your life, but just a temporary thing

Yes, it’s tough, but it makes a lot of sense – kudos for facing up to the realities and taking steps! It is no fun to have all the discretionary income sucked up into rent – it will suit you better if you can rearrange…
