puppy's story definitely resonates with us - we just adopted stanley, a senior norwegian elkhound, who somehow had gotten up to 122 lbs! he should weigh about 55 lbs at the top of his breed standard, so we're looking at losing more than 50 % of his body weight. portion control and walking is helping us make great progress, but i understand about the walking. if we get all the way around the block without breaks, it's a triumph! (we've down 2 blocks on a few occasions lately!!) as a waterphobe, the hydrotherapy is probably not going to happen for us, but we're working on it!

Oh my goodness! She is a beautiful corgi! I can't imagine someone letting their dog get that big! I think a dog's weight would be easier to control than a persons weight. I know what that poor girl needs is a home in the country where she can have fun chasing squirrels and rabbits and cats up a tree! That is what keeps me girls in good shape! lol We had to bunnies in our garden yesterday and Jazz almost got one! YIKES! She runs around here like she's a greyhound racetrack dog! lol That is what I tell her! I know they wouldn't let me have her because my yard is not fenced! It doesn't need to be. :)

Hugs,
Angela :)

Gosh, we had no idea a corgi could even get that big! I (Dozer) am on a diet because I need to lose 3 pounds, I cannot imagine having to lose 10 or more! Let us know about donations for the water therapy classes, Mum says she will be happy to donate.
