The Wabbit
Look what I just ordered for my niece’s 6th birthday:
The Wabbit!!!

I love this artist on Etsy, A Little Character. Her stuff is just so whimsical and fun.
We have a couple of her cats and dragons, which Earl simply does NOT understand why I order these things. He’s so funny. “Tell me why,” he asks me, “we needed a clay replica of Lucy begging for food to sit on our counter?” “Because,” I tell him, “it’s so cute. And they make me smile.”
Hee. Men. They just don’t get it.
Anyways, I love her stuff and they always make me grin. I’ve decided to start getting her items for my niece’s birthdays each year and they can start their own collections. This way I won’t be buying more for us to have around the house for Earl to get grumpy over and instead can shower them with gifts.
Here are the cats I have (as well as a corgi, not by A Little Character) in front of a photo I have of my sisters and I. Yes, that is me, the munchkin in the middle, and my twin (to each other) sisters are in the background. So cute, right?

Wabbit is cute; I think that’s a neat idea for you to give them to your niece(s) for birthdays for their own collection; my sister did that for my daughter with angels, a different angel for every year, she enjoyed that.
what a sweet picture of you and your sisters; very adorable!! we have that same corgi statue but as a tri-colored one and when we brought it home and placed it on the coffee table, no joke, Koda actually seemed to relate to it as a corgi; weird but he was interested in it more than anything else I ever put out
enjoy your weekend

Awww, well what a nice thing to do! I appreciate the bloggy mention!! Very satisfying to make things and then have actual other people like the things I make.
You’ve been a wonderful customer and I appreciate the sales!
I had a lot of fun making the wabbit. I find them so much more personable and much more informal than rabbits. Should you run across one in the wild I highly recommend a quick conversation with one of the little fellows. Suppose that’s the main difference between Wabbits and rabbits really, a rabbit will run if you holler “hello” but a Wabbit might just stop for a chat.
Thanks again! You have a fantastic blog and congrats on the new job!
