As you may have gathered from earlier posts, Earl and I are officially moving to San Francisco.

I’ve been crazed these past couple days trying to rent out our apartment (for a November 1 move-in) in a tough market. The people who are looking for an upscale 1br on the UES are most likely finance-industry people, and it seems like many of them are hesitant in this market to take on a $3000/month lease!

Fortunately after many showings, I think we have a tenant. Final paperwork not going through until next Tuesday, however, so still plenty of time for something to go wrong.

Also in the meantime, my computer has been completely pwned by a virus, so I am down-and-out as far as posting up photos. I’m typing this from E’s laptop right now. I am getting a new laptop next Tuesday, so just need to hold the fort for a few days.

Finally, tomorrow we’re heading up to visit my family in North Conway, NH for a long weekend of hiking, biking and leaf-peeping. I figure before I move across the country I need to do one last visit with the parents! I’m thrilled to be seeing them, however it seems like with everything else I need to take care of with moving coming up in 11 days, this is just one more thing! Gah!

So please bear with me as I am swamped for the next two weeks. Then it will be a three-week roadtrip adventure across the USA. I’m planning it out now and really excited to be seeing so much of middle-America.
